I am a singer/songwriter currently residing in New York City. I've spent much of the last few years touring throughout the US and UK, and have released various recordings of my original songs during that time.
I am inspired by my connections with other people, the world around me, and especially any open & passionate people that I get to be around. I am on here to share stories, and to learn about what gets different people going!

Chris's Backdrop What is this?
Why?
Cuz Calvin and Hobbes is genius. I like other painters, but I love Calvin and Hobbes.
Why?
It's kind of cheating to say that, since he didn't call himself a "philosopher" per se... but I read a little too much philosophy in school, and still return to "Be Here Now" as my favorite all time philosophical statement. It's honest, vital, and is able to marry existentialism to the divinity of the present moment ...the infinite WOW.. i guess... and that's a hard combo to account for sometimes. Love it.
Why?
All the big decisions of my adult life can be sourced back to listening to cassettes on car rides with my family as a kid. Paul Simon, Elvis Presley, Earl Scruggs, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Grateful Dead, and some weird Time-Warner "as seen on TV" best of the 50s Doo-Wop thing... don't know how the last one ended up there, but I love the songs too much at this point to blame my parents ('Come Go With Me' is a GREAT song).
It's definitely where I first started to sing along, and felt the need to make some of that joyful noise... and it's where I felt a closeness to my family that was rarely replicated in other places. I think a lot of that had to do with the songs that brought us together. Not even sure where we were going a lot of the time! Didn't really matter

It's my favorite remedy to the passage of time... something about rebirth.
